
On March 11, 2011, the President spoke his keynote lecture to members of the Japanese Society at the 17th Annual Conference in Tokyo, Japan. His lecture focused on the role of behavioral medicine in seven global health challenges:
cardiovascular disease, mental health, HIV/AIDS, cancer, maternal and child health, poverty and social inequity, and work & health. Fifteen minutes after his lecture, a terrible earthquake attacked the northern Japan, which also affected Tokyo and stopped the conference in the middle. (View the photo here.)
