On behalf of the International Society of Behavioral Medicine, the Hans Selye Hungarian Society of Behavioral Sciences and Medicine, and the Scientific Program and Local Organising Committees, we warmly invite you to the 12th International Congress of Behavioral Medicine to be held in Budapest, Hungary, between 29 August - 1 September, 2012.

The President of ISBM is invited to speak his keynote on "Improving Psychosocial Factors at Work: Behavioral Medicine Meets Occupational Health" to members of the International Commission on Occupational Health (ICOH) at the 30th International Congress of Occupational Health to be held in Cancun Mexico, from March 18 to 23, 2012.
Global health challenges and behavioral medicine.
The President Norito Kawakami was speaking to members of the Venezuelan Society in his master lecture "Global health challenges and behavioral medicine" at the Fifth National Congress of Behavioral Medicine, Caracas, Venezuela, 16-18 November 2011. Groningen is approved as the venue of ICBM2014
The Governing Council had a vote and has approved Groningen, the Netherlands, as the venue of an International Congress of Behavioral Meidicine (ISBM) in 2014. The tentaive dates are from August 20 (Wed) until 23 (Sat), 2014. The Netherland Society will introduce their conference plan at a closing reception on the last day of the ICBM2012 in Budapest.
Call for the venue of ICBM2016
The Board would like to call a venue for ICBM in 2016. If a member society is interested in organizing the congress in 2016, please prepare a proposal following the current "Guidelines for Congress Organization" and send it to the President (president@isbm.info) no later than March 1st, 2012. The Guideline is posted at the member section of this website or can be obtained by e-mailing to the President.
New Editor-in-Chief of IJBM in 2012-2017
Our next Editor-in-Chief, Dr. Christina Lee, is now handling new manuscripts since May 1st, 2011. She will take over all duties as Editor on January 1st, 2012. We are glad to report that the impact factor of the journal is 1.762 in 2010.
